Fanny Nushka Moreaux was born in France in 1983 and studied Political Sciences. She learnt to paint alongside American painter Maggie Siner and others. Her elegant and stylish paintings not only show her technical expertise but explore beauty and the concept of the remote.
Nushka often creates representations of magazine covers like ELLE and Vanity Fair that are characterized by the veiled beauty of women that at first seem inviting but are not approachable. The representation of the body and its forms in a contemporary way is what she is most interested in.
The richness of colour and material creates a contradiction of a welcoming environment that can’t be touched. Nushka’s thick brush strokes carefully emphasise the different shades of shadows in a symmetrical way. The harmony of character depicted in each of her works reflects her own personality.
Nushka has done a variety of group and solo exhibitions in France and the USA. She has upcoming exhibitions both in France and Dubai during 2014.
